Lost 81-80, had a shot at the buzzer to win it. Played lots better, signs of things to come under WW, get better everyday.

This team will be much improved. Still have a long way to go, but they have the right guy.

Mayes and Duop played well, Waters played really well 20 pts, Sampson seems to be in a funk and didn't play much. Texas has a lottery pick on their team. We were winning most of the game and had a shot to win at the end. Played a lot better against a good team. Combs also played really well. Epps will really help and when Sampson comes around we will be a lot better. One thing is for sure we played a lot better than tuesday nite.

Obviously, I can't say much since I didn't see the game, but giving up 80+ again is a bit worrisome. Did Texas do most of their scoring in the paint?

lots of 3's both sides, waters was 5-9 from 3, plenty of room for improvement defensive. Will improve there for sure, still missing assignments defensively

I'm sure Wade wants to kick Sampson in the butt for not putting forth more effort on D.

Personally, I don't care if he plays much this season if he's not going to buy in. He's too athletic to not be able to play better defense.

Just want to see team continue to improve as season goes along.

Nice to see us shoot well

That was a concern vs Tulane

Just need to clean up defensively, we will improve this year but we won't see major results until the followin season IMO

this will take a bit of time

Sampson will figure it out, WW really is hoping Sampson figures it out. To good a player and we need him.

Without seeing a second of either game the obvious perception would be there was much improvement as Texas certainly has significantly more talent than Tulane...a team that only won 6 games last year.

The 80 points is a concern coming off giving up 80 points, however points in and of themselves can be a deceiving barometer of defensive success as pace of play can skew that. Point per possession and field goal percentage would be more telling.

Was this played like a regulated game or was this mixed in with some situation stuff also?
