LSU Basketball vs VCU

LSU hoops team looks solid to me. They have to grow up a little but Mays will be a really good point guard. What I see mostly, is a lack of physicality.
But we have to get Blakeney going for scoring and simply have to take care of the turnover issue. Team is really active and athletic.
Down 7 to VCU and we haven't made a shot from the outside. Lets get some love for the Hoops Team...and please, F OFF if you say "Fire Johnny" We got this crew for 4 months so just add a little to the thread or go to the Coaches Board and deal with that crap!

KC What a loser you must be! Who in the SEC is that good that we cannot compete with? Kentucky and then who?
Florida?
This team is young with several new faces, they will get much better, but you haven't watched 10 minutes and think you know everything.

Agreed. LSU does not care about basketball nor do the boosters apparently. Otherwise they would have thrown jones out on his ear last year before the season was over. He is not good enough to coach a SWAC let alone an SEC team. He really is about the worst coach I've ever seen.

I don't disagree Jones might need to be replaced, but that is NOT the point of the conversation...at least I didn't think it was.
This team is going to get better and better and they just have to hit some shots...I like the fact that we are attacking the goal against a very good VCU team. Certainly Top 50 team.
Again, as i stated, there is nothing we can do about JJ so please, what is the purpose of discussing that?

Think this team has a decent bit of holes. Our talent just isn't quite up to par honestly, with experience.
Not trying to be negative, just see it how it is. I think we lose a handful of OOC game then only win 4-8 SEC games.

No Ball Movement or Body Movement on offense. Watch as the wings rarely move for than 4-5 feet without ball on offense.
No Team defense. Some very talented individual defenders but no concept on defense.
These issues have been since day one of CJJ.
This team shows no improvement from that.

Nailed it.
Same stuff, different year. Only this year this is one of CJJ's weaker teams, so it's going to be parlayed into more losses.

Wow. 17:30 was the first time a wing touched the ball in the 2nd half in half court set. First official timeout and no wing has moved from their side of the court. You won't beat any good team like this.

I don't know how much basketball you watch but this is not a good team at all. Not even close to becoming one. They should be winning this tournament instead of getting blown out in the 5th place game.

Ummm, do you even realize who is in this tournament? Louisville would beat us by 50 points, and that's not because we have Johnny Jones. We are right where we should be this tournament.

Yeah I know who is in it. My point was that the should be playing Louisville in the finals rather than getting blown out by a 2nd team in 3 days.
