The concept of "position" is limiting. Find a way to use their strengths and forget about what you call them 3, 4, 5 alot of teams these days have done away with that type of thinking.
Run sets and concepts that put these guys in better position.

For me jacking perimiter 3's ain't that for Martin and Mickey yet we end up seeing that much more than is conducive to maximizing that talent.

Gray...he's the wild card. I refuse to believe a guy that averaged 10 pts. a game as a true freshman at TT and 35 a game in JUCO is the player we've seen to this point. Got to find a way to get him to contribute more.

I do think Hornsby was hyped a bit too much, but he can play a role, we've just got to find it for him, sooner than later.

A big problem is that none of our players are complete. They all have glaring weaknesses and opponents are exploiting them.

I think in today's world of college hoops most teams outside the top 10-15 have glaring weaknesses. It them becomes who can exploit the other teams better and minimize their own.

We did not do a good job of that last year, and to this point this year we're struggling in that again. Maybe Musselman can help in that regard but I have not figured that coaching dynamic yet.

This is completely false, once again, we have 6 guys who were either very highly rated or have produced already on the college level. The talent is here NOW.

Probably about 2% of college teams have a true NBA type SF. It's a completely irrelevant position in college which the majority of teams just play a 3rd guard at.

Exactly, not to mention we can flip the script, go small and create mismatches of our own.

It's all relative. Too many folks look at the best teams and see we're not there, but the reality is most teams aren't there and those are the teams we are competing against to get to the dance with.

The teams that adjust the best, maximize strengths and minimize weaknesses will dance. We have enough to make that Top 48 IMHO. But it won't be given to us, we have to earn it.
