Just stay out of the basketball ball threads. You always get stuff wrong and ruin each one you post in. Leave the basketball threads to people who have at least some knowledge of what is going on.

I also wouldnt mind playing FSU just because of their style of play and their defense vs our assumed damn good offense next season.
I liked Trent as a good guy and as a coach but it just wasnt a fit, think he would actually play us down the road, Brady doesnt have the nuts or the integrity to though, come on you re still at Arkansas St? Really? Would have thought by now he could have atleast gotten a MWC/ C-USA school to bite.

Who should be accountable for scheduling so few basketball game this year? Is it Trent or someone else in the athletic department? If they wouldn't have been so lazy and actually put some work into scheduling 2 or 3 more pretty easy games we could have a shot to sneak into the ncaa tournament without having to win the sec tourney. For the rpi, wins count for a lot. Doesn't matter who they are against.

One of the main things you also need to look for is the coaching tree or whoever CJJ has ever coached with collegiately who is a head coach now in College basketball, that is how when people ask why we play a mid-major from South Dakota or Ohio that is usually the reason, and some people cough cough LaTech think they re too good and afraid to play LSU.

I guess I'll put some input in here.
OOC games I'd like to see in no particular order:
Creighton (lived in Omaha for 8 years)
Butler
KU
Indiana
Michigan
Michigan st
Duke
UNC
VCU
Georgetown
and Wisconsin
I was actually excited to play Marquette this year. They would have been on that list.

at the time ole miss had 2 fewer losses than us and it was looking like we could make a late season run and finish in the top 5 in the sec. Their strength of schedule was about the same, but their rpi was around 50 spots higher and they were on the bubble. the two more losses we had alone are not worth a 50 spot difference. their 2 wins against pretty bad competition helped boost their rpi. wins against anybody in the top 200 will help your rpi. had we won a few of those close games toward the end of the year, those 2 extra games that we didnt have could have cost us a tourney spot.

Who would you wanna see CJJ schedule non-conference
For purposes of RPI, the best teams to schedule are teams that are decent but beatable and play in crap conferences so their W/L records will look good at the end. The same is true in football, too, by the way.
