I left at the beginning of the second half to take a friend to the Quarter who had never been, but just finished watching the second half, and was going to start a Johnny Jones appreciation thread, but this is more accurate. They are an extremely fun team to watch. They have already exceeded my expectations, and whatever else happens is gravy. I just wish this season wasn't about to end. I want to see another 18 SEC games.
I won't lie, CJJ was not my top choice or even top 3, but I can't be happier to be wrong. Won't even say who I wanted(not the thread), but CJJ was the correct hire. He is a true Tiger, and has gotten this team to play very well.
Hickey, JOB, Carmouche, hell all of them.
Say what yall want, I actually kind of hope we don't win the SECt. I want a run to the tourney final and then a deep run in the NIT, just so I can see more LSU basketball. We make the final though, I will still be cheering my arse off.

Great thread OP.
I love these boys so much. They make mistakes, they lose focus, they're not deep, but they just keep going, game after game. They respect each other, play for each other. Such a "team" mentality.
I've never seen them "roll over" like A & M did at the end of tonight's game. They fight, even though they're tired, winded, whatever.

I am truly proud of EVERYONE in this basketball organization.

Let's get that last home win against Ole amiss, and let's be loud in the PMAC

This.
Not sure who it was, but 15.8 seconds left, up by 13, we still have a player diving for the ball tonight.
That's the type of we have. I love it

I am about as far away from a basketball fan as you can get. I mean I'm not even a bandwagon fan.... I honestly usually don't know whether we're good or not. Usually I would just assume the game of basketball not exist because it takes away the publicity that tiger baseball would get.....

That being said the heart and determination of our coach and even more impressively the sheer WANT of our team has caught my attention and has both impressed and opened my mind. I am exciting and interested in basketball for the first time in my life and if this tiger team ends up being the cornerstone and turning point that I believe they are then they will forever live with me.

In short....... I am one proud son of a bitch

I always felt Brady couldn't sustain what his 2000 and 2006 teams did, but with Johnny, he has exceeded my expectations already, and is recruiting like a madman..

Haven't been this excited about LSU Baskets sustaining and building the program longterm, since the 1980s and early 1990s.

As a Hoops Junkie..am totally geeked.
