It's funny how men's basketball had those short-shorts until the 90's.

i love the story of this team along with the "chicago 5" that won the outdoor track national title in 1932.

I have an interest in this team really only because my grandfather was on the team. But it's a really cool story.

That in itself is awesome. I have fond memories of reliving those days. It was pretty incredible.

This is a technicality though

The digits 6, 7, 8, and 9 are cannot be used in college basketball numbers today.

I count 7 guys in that picture with what would be illegal numbers in current times

Damn. This is turning out to be quite strange. So far we have 3 grandfathers. At least 2 are confirmed.

Great team. But dumb national title.

LSU should drop that one and instead recognize the 1908 football national title.

No, not at all. They just look damn uncomfortable. Those type of shorts play Indian on you - they sneak up behind.

I would repost the article about this team from a program that I have but I don't know if that is OK to do or not.

I hope so!
I love the fact that you have so much family history at LSU.

It actually runs a bit deeper than that. That same grandfather went on to become a pretty big deal in the collegiate (SEC) world. But I think here is where I'm going to stop for now. I'm not overly comfortable with laying it all out there.

That's a cool story as well. You are smart not to post any further info on here.

Of course it is.

As long as it's not from a pay site - you're good.
