LSU Basketball - Danielle Ballard Named to All SEC First Team Today!

I am surprised she got it after missing half the season. Congrats to her for getting that award and more for becoming a model citizen after having to sit out for so long. It was obvious that she was a big difference maker.

Well whatever she did to get suspended may end up being the reason LSU could be left out of the tourney, with her no way the non conference record is that bad plus the lost games for their annual vacation that were cancelled could have been played at the PMAC instead

True. But it may also be the reason that she's a better player, teammate, and leader. I applaud a coach who's willing to sit their best player when that player is not living up to the expectations that have been set for the program. The team may or may not make the NCAA tournament but, the lesson learned will go far in reinforcing those expectations for everyone in the program.

I think she got it because it's based on your performance in conference games, not the entire season. It's well-deserved............in my opinion she's the best guard in the SEC, with all due respect to Tiffany Mitchell.

Odd that when I see "Danielle" these days I think of it as a man's name.
