Is this team really as good as we are making them out to be? Yes this is basically the same team as last year but last years team really was not that good. They were a team that was going to be a 2 seed in a regional and ended up as a national seed. They caught fire at the end of the year which a lot of teams do but maybe the expectations for this year were unrealistic for this team and we had too much hype for them.

Except for 1/3 of the lineup and 1/3 of the weekend rotation that are true freshmen.

Dude, it's March. Second SEC series on the road @ Florida. In the past 3 years, Florida has lost a total of 13 games at home. It's not an easy trip to win. They're fine, the SEC west isn't strong and they'll progress as the season goes on.

Edit; I know it's frustrating but it's also baseball. Can't expect them to win every series. I'm fine with them losing this series, they'll come back with fire and step up their game. Florida didn't expect to lose 2/2 to FGCU or get swept opening weekend. This weekend, the bounced back strong like any good team does.

Paul's time here is running out. We need new blood at the helm. Should have been Cannizzaro

Team has no approach to hitting, other than to swing widely at breaking balls out of the zone. How in god's name is Gibbs qualified to be the Hitting Coach, in only his 2nd year after being the "Coordinator of Baseball Operations"?..so he's PM's Gofer for a year and now he's the Hitting Coach?.is PM such an a-hole he cant find anyone to work for him?

I don't see it mentioned much on here, but losing Cannizzaro has to hurt this team. He was a vocal leader in our dugout & I have not seen 1 coach replace his absence.

They hired former players with virtually no coaching experience. The Micah Gibbs hire is baffling. LSU should be able to go get almost whoever they want to be their hitting coach.

Cannizaro had no coaching experience when Mainieri hired him as an assistant.
