If your first game is the Florida game this weekend and you want to hop the train to the SEC Tournament, the Regionals, and Omaha!!! Here’s the LSU Baseball team at a glance.

Lange

...........................era...w-l...bb...so...hr....b/avg
P1 - Alex Lange 3.76 7-3...41...95...10...0.227
Alex Lange is the Ace, he’s given up a few too many walks and homeruns, but don’t let that get you down, he good.

Romero

................................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
C - Jordan Romero .325 9 39 .610 .405 1.000
Jordan Romero was not the starting catcher at the beginning of the season, but he did have some clutch hits. He is now a solid starter. He has the highest slg % on the team and he can catch, who knew?

Deichmann

....................................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
1B - Greg Deichmann .262 6 36 .454 .318 .974
Greg Deichmann… rolls like the Dow Jones. He can hit homeruns, pound doubles, and strike outs. He started the year playing 1st, then 3rd, and now 1st again. He had some bad errors in the field, but since the 3rd move, back to 1st, he’s been ok.

Freeman

................................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
2B - Cole Freeman .321 1 21 .405 .431 .970
Cole Freeman started the year at SS, moved to 2nd, which is the position he won a JUCO gold glove. This kid is fast, plays Sports Center defense, and bats 9th whilst 0.321 batting average.

Reid

...........................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
3rd - Chris Reid .295 1 13 .385 .407 .901
Chris Reid didn’t start this year, he had to come in for an injured player. Throughout the season he has become a steady player.

Robertson

.......................................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
SS - Kramer Robertson .320 1 31 .429 .418 .958
Kramer Robertson started the years playing 2nd but moved to SS. He was much maligned last year because he couldn’t hit, this year he is hitting.

Beau Jordan

..............................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
LF - Beau Jordan .306 4 37 .421 .364 .985
Beau Jordan is in Left field. He is an emotional leader on the team. He is not blazing fast, but he has hustled down some balls for good catches.

Fraley

.............................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
CF - Jake Fraley .325 2 26 .440 .415 1.000
Jake Fraley plays Center field and is the only returning starter from last year. He is a solid all around player.

Duplantis

......................................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
RF - Antoine Duplantis .322 2 33 .417 .402 1.000
Did you know the Duplantis family is full of great pole vaulters?
Antoine Duplantis plays Right Field and is a solid all around player.

Bryce Jordan

...............................avg hr rbi slg% ob% fld%
DH - Bryce Jordan .318 5 28 .459 .440 1.000
Bryce played 1st base at the start of the season, but ended up squeezed out of the field. He has stayed productive and helped the team as the designed hitter.

Coach

Rally Possum

Rally Possum
We picked up this varmint during the Arkansas series, the stink of the hog must’ve lead him onto the field. When the hogs came charging at him, he hissed back at them, and then the tigers pounced and killed all of the hogs.

*Footnote: I put the possum on a leash so he can coexist with the RallyCrawfish for this season.

Thanks for your good work, but if that's the Cliff Notes, the book must look like War and Peace.

This is the time most people start watching LSU baseball and are shocked by things that most of us are used to by now.

I would like to add to the cliffs that this team will go through stretches where they can't hit anything and just hold on for a few innings because at some point they just start hitting everything. They are fast and make good contact and put pressure on the defense from the moment they step in the box.

Pitching is much the same as last year late sometimes they are unhittable other times not so much these times can be spotted by the number of walks. They usually go together.

Also and most importantly never ever give up on this team. They fight for everything they do on the baseball field.
