Hit By Pitch
Bryce Jordan - 16 (3rd, 1st)

When Bryce came up to bat against that side-armed pitcher on Friday night, after he hit the previous 2 right handed batters, there was no doubt in my mind he was going to get a HBP. He ended up getting hit twice

Friday may have been the first time all year that KRob struck out twice in the same game. Even after 3 Ks this weekend, he's still the toughest on the team to strike out, that just shows how far ahead he was before.

Seems to happen in football and baseball that our perceived strength at the beginning of the year (2016 pitching) ends up being a weakness, and our perceived weakness at the beginning of the year (2016 hitting) ends up being a strength.

Tigers are essentially ranked in upper half of SEC in offense and lower half of SEC in pitching. Mainieri publicly said (at least to the Coach's Committee) that this pitching staff was probably best in the nation. Coach speak?

About 5 people in the stands sitting around us started chanting "HBP! HBP!" when Bryce walked up to the plate for that at bat.

4th in the SEC in BA and 10th in ERA is not what everyone was expecting preseason. I think most predicted top third ERA and expected bottom half BA.
