If LSU loses that midweek game then we have major issues

Southern was the other option, they declined.
First off, you have to find a team that doesn't have a 56 game schedule, since LA College is in lower division they were about the only other option.

Second, LSU's schedule doesn't have many openings either due to all the Thurs SEC series.

Would've still been a step up from the usual RPI-damaging Grambling/J-State/Alcorn replacement we usually get.

They could've played Centenary as well. Would've been better competition than Louisiana College

RPI will suffer some.
I thought they were trying to catch San Diego early next week?

Luke Johnson has tweeted out something vague that could have been interpreted that way, but he clarified later saying it absolutely wouldn't be USD.

You're saying it's not a let down to go from playing a team that will likely make a regional to playing a team that would lose to West Monroe?

I was joking, but yes playing LC is a disappointment.

I suspect CPM just wants to get these midweek games out of the way without losing another one.

Looking at their roster, they have three or four kids from Pineville. That had to be one miserable life.

Loyola would have been another one that fit the bill.

did this several years ago in same situation - was very good game - as we used all second line guys as starters - gave those guys good experience
