LSU Baseball Remaining Schedule

I keep seeing how much easier LSU's schedule is going to get in the 2nd half. With the exception of Mizzou, it's not that much easier. For reference, LSU's RPI is currently #46.
RPI of teams we have already played:
Miss St - #48
Florida - #31
Arkansas - #2
Vandy - #15
Teams we still have to play:
Tennessee - #11
Mizzou - #87
Auburn - #29
Texas A&M - #6
Alabama - #21
Ole Miss - #28

Talent wise, Recruiting and prospects Florida, Arkansas, Miss state, Vanderbilt are 4 of the top teams. They recruit well every year and have loads of talent. The only other teams we still have left to play that consist of loads of talent & prospects are tennessee & texas am

Well,no one said at tennessee would be easy, they are including them in the hard front half of the sec schedule. Its a top 2-3 sec team on the road. That one is obvious.
Secondly, rpi is extremely flawed. So teams like ole miss, auburn and alabama are propped up. None of them are that good.
Texas am is good, probably elite unfortunately. There, explained

If we lose the mizzou serious it’s an absolute melt down bigger than anything any human being could have imagined

RPI doesn’t really balance out till the very end of the year.

We've beaten ourselves too many times to worry about the relative strength of schedule.
It looks like it lightens up for us, but if we don't pull our collective heads out of our asses, it won't matter.

I blame Fred for unbanning me.

I'm pretty sure we lost the series there the last time we went.
And before this season, the last time we lost to Southern, the Mizzou coach was their coach.

Assuming we lose series to Tenn, a mizzou series loss would have us 0-6 in sec series. It will be truly historic

If we go 1-2 @ Tenn and 1-2 @ texas Am
We have to find a way to go 10-2 in the others to end at 15-15.
Not very confident in that with how our Sundays have been going.

It’s the SEC. Every series will be tough. The back half of our schedule is easier than our first half. Or at least seemed that way before conference play.

RPI the first week of April doesn't equate talent

You're fantizing. This isn't happening...

RPI is a good metric but sometimes it makes you go hmm.
Auburn - #29 18-15 2-10
Ole Miss - #28 18-13 3-9
LSU - #46 21-12 3-9

We are going to have to put together some game 3 pitching in some of these series.
That being said, none of it matters if we don’t because we don’t go anywhere in the post season without a viable 3rd starter and 2nd relief guy. We aren’t slugging our way out of trouble this year so it seems.

You don’t need 15 wins. You need 14 and possibly 13, but not guaranteed.
Not that I think getting to even 13 will be easy at all.

Texas A&M will be tough. I couldn’t give 2 shits about Alabama and Old Miss though. Them sumbiches ain’t a pimple on LSU’s buttocks! IF we can’t take 2 of 3 from them scrubs, we’re entirely fricked.

Kinda hoping we just get past McNeese

As long as we have bad pitching and inconsistent hitting it really won’t matter who we play. Keep in mind we lost to Southern already this year

You’re putting too much stock in the southern game. It happens most seasons that we lose to a lower tier team midweek. The real problem is the 3rd game of a series. From what I’ve seen auburn, ole miss, Missouri, and Alabama are worse than the teams we have played thus far. We need to not get swept in Knoxville and against A&M, and we need to figure out Sundays against the rest.
