LSU got what they deserve. If you can't even make your conference tournament, you don't deserve to make the national tournament.

And those teams that made it were very lucky and should have been extremely grateful. I would have been happy if LSU had made the tournament, but I can't say they earned a spot there.

some of the same people i see in these threads pissing and moaning about LSU not making the tourney are the same people that were calling this team garbage a month ago, calling for sanchez and grewe's heads on a platter, and saying there was no way this team was going to make the tourney ... so beating God awful tennessee and kentucky teams at home magically changed things for them ?

no
mississippi state finished 12-17 in 2006, missed the SEC Tourney, made the NCAA Tourney
oklahoma state finished 9-16 in 2009, missed the Big 12 Tourney, made the NCAA Tourney
interesting notes: mississippi state AD Larry Templeton was the committee chair in 2006. big 12 deputy commissioner Tim Weiser was the committee chair in 2009

Grewe and Sanchez still need to go, and soon.
LSU also beat MSU, there, two out of three.
In the past NCAA has also considered one run losses in picking one team over another. IT did not consider anything, according to Weiser, except for the wins against the low-place LSU teams and not playing OOC games on the road.
I think the NCAA should do away with the rpi, or at least with their official rpi. It has no meaning whatsoever.

Good news for LSU Baseball...we just hit bottom and got the truth....PM has brought us to the bottom and let's see where we go from here....BIG chAnges coming to LSU baseball staff and coaching...truthfully, we do not deserve to play postseason....the team was a huge disappointment...
bad recruiting, bad execution, poor hitting, bad strategy by PM....just a bust for a year....now let's get ready for next year....

LOL. Arkansas Little rock has a record of 24-32 and made the tournament.
New Mexico has a record of 20-39 and made the tournament.
Though LSU has rpi of 24 and has a record of 36-20 and they don't get a piece of the tournament.

If, during next year's season, a poster brings up "RPI" as a justification for either qualifying a team for or leaving a team out of the field of 64, I am going to personally beat said poster senseless with a Gorilla Ball-era bat
