I don't think this has been posted but this was from the Perfect Game Draft chat ealier today!

Comment From Magee
Do you see any of LSU's signees get drafted high enough to take the money and run? Story, Eierman, Baranik, Cave, Goody, Nola, etc.?

David Rawnsley:
There is no doubt that Story and Eierman could go high enough to be offered that "life changing" money that scouts and advisors always talk about. Cave has uneven reviews this spring and that's up in the air. The others have a good chance of going to school IMO, although Nola is a BIG favorite of mine. It will be interesting how Grewe's resignation could effect each player's equation, as he's the one that recruited them.

I don't think its going to happen but it would be great if Cave made it to campus, he could make an impact day one helping us on the mound, and at the plate!

Austin seems legitimately excited about the prospect of playing with his brother at LSU. I realize that their draft location will determine the likelihood of that occurring but everything in our favor is a good thing.

No way this is Terrance Magee judging his baseball competition huh??

But, getting Cave to campus would be top notch.

The more top notch pitching we can get to campus the better.

Cave and Nola would give whoever the new pitching coach is alot of options to go with, Gausman, McCune, and Eades. I am very excited about the possibilty of our pitching staff if we get a few of these guys on campus to go with our starting rotation and a good pitching coach. We could see a big turnaround in one year from no regional all the way to Omaha!

I refuse to play this game this year. Sick of being lied to and manipulated by these signees just to get a bigger signing bonus.

I'll support whoevers still on board August 20th (or whatever the date is).

(still butthurt over Von Rosenburg, Leblanc, Cecchini, etc)

I just don't understand why people think that every committed kid that signed pro was lying to us and just using us for leverage.

I never said every one of them lies. But to pretend like it's not part the system is foolish. Its just a shitty process for fans & coaching staffs.

& yea T, I had blocked Lee from my memory bank, it's all coming back now

I have trouble sympathizing with you because despite all his actions you had to know he wouldn't pass that up.

What gets me is the guys from Florida, UCLA, etc that turn down millions. Why not us? (yes I'm thankful for Gausman )

But no, don't blame Lee one bit for turning down 5mill. I'm just not getting emotionally invested in any of these 18y/os. Until they get to campus of course. then I'll immediately facebook freind req. all of them and dedicate my avvy to the highest drafted to make it here..
