LSU averaging 200 ypg MORE since Les fired. Would be #8 total offense.

First four games LSU averaged 340 ypg. Ranked 110th.
Last 3 games LSU averages 546 ypg. Would be ranked #8 if spread over whole season.
I'm not sure what everyone else has done the last 3 games. But, my point is that the pace that LSU is on over the last 3 games has them as a top 10 offense in college football.
Combine that with a #14 overall defense and top 10 scoring defense and this is now a very dangerous team.
I know that you normally can't run stats like that, but with a new Head Coach, new OC, and new QB from the beginning of the season, and with LF7 back to go along with an experienced Guice, a healthy OLine, WRs and TEs who are now used to seeing the ball ... well, this could be an interesting conclusion to the season.
And, the defense keeps getting better and better.
I don't know if we'll win out, but we sure are a threat to.

Honestly, with guys like Key, Etling, and Guice coming back, idk if we ever lose another game

have you seen what we are going to lose? I think the future is bright but we are losing A LOT next year.

The defenses we've faced since then are giving up roughly 150 yards more per game than the defenses in the first few games, but the overall point still remains - the offense has been more prolific and efficient.
FWIW, even with the first 4 games we're still ranked #7 nationally in yards per play.

Well NOW they are, after facing us. What were they BEFORE we played em?

Miles being fired was long overdue he was a very overrated coach and what ppl need to realize about lsu is we are not like Alabama we don't have to have a nick saban level coach to win here. Les miles winning a natty here proves that. Teams like Alabama have to recruit nationally because their state doesn't produce the talent that ours does. Teams like us Texas Florida and USC don't need the best coach or a top 3 coach tho win big we just need a competent coach.

I get the point you are trying to make, but why would Darrell Williams leave?

I like your post but the defenses LSU did this against aren't that good.

I get what you are saying but...those schools won championships under Pete Carroll, Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban....and no one else. If Les was so average, why haven't these other schools replicated the success of these guys?
USC is on coach 45 or so, Texas is about to move on from its first post-NC winning coach, Florida has had five coaches in 25 years and only two of them won titles. There's no program you can put on autopilot. I think that's precisely what happened with Les.

Yeah this is the year to make some noise. I think they are going to.

You forgot to mention Mack brown Paul deitzel and john Robinson. Not exactly top coaches. So the "no one els" comment is just wrong.
