Lolo Jones and TM7. One seems to make all the right decisions and just made the winter Olympic team on the bobsled team. She represents LSU with grace and class. The other could not make a good decision after numerous chances (multiple failed drug tests, on the cusp of either returning to LSU or the NFL) and probably just blew both. 20 years from now we will see TM7 in a "Where are they now" edition of SI. FYI my kid who is 8 threw his TM7 jersey in the trash and went to bed. Never been prouder of my young son.

My son at 8 knows bad choices which evidently a TM7 at 21 does not. Call it dumb but wait til you have kids. It changes your view on shite you thought was not a big deal. Going gets tough is cancer, unemployment, etc. Not becoming a dope head, getting a second chance and having your friends over for a get high session knowing it may cost you everything.

It's teaching a youngster how to make correct decisions, and poor ones have ramifications.

Your son should probably throw away almost every jersey he's ever owned to be consistent and not naive.

He may, but I can guarantee he would be smart enough if he had a second chance not to frick it up with three washed up loser who have no future and just compromised that second chance.

Get back to us when he turns 21 and has navigated the hazards of young adulthood successfully.

Regardless, I'm sure most people have smoked weed a few times; big deal. However, when it becomes a habit and you throw a career away because of weed, you are an idiot. Weed isn't that great. TM7 would have had a much better life had he just stayed clean and kept his focus. Now he can smoke all he wants to and it doesn't matter. Hope it was worth it idiot.

I have lived In California for the last 23 years but lived in Louisiana for the first 24. Been a cop for 23 and can tell you first hand that very few just stop at marijuana. I realize that college kids make bad choices and they are never put on ESPN unless you are an athlete. I also realize that this kid lost a free education, potential riches and the respect of a lot of people who were willing to give a second chance. You raise your kids the way you want but explaining to my son not once but twice that his favorite player just fricked up again has to be a lesson for him. If not he will definitely make the same mistakes. It's called parental love. When you have one of your own you will understand how difficult it is to explain this to you son or daughter.

Basically, if I don't have a kid I can't understand so I should stop voicing my opinion?

If TM were in California and this same thing happened, what type of citation would he receive? Would he have received one at all in all honesty?

Dick cops
Great way to throw the blame on the cops and not a dumb arse who can't stay out of trouble even if it cost him a fortune. In California he would have been booked in and the follow up investigation would hinge on the statements of the 4 people involved. With Bryant having the 7 bags it is evident on what I have read, he was dropping off (selling) dope. Possession for Sales is a Felony, the others are Misdemeanors. A misdemeanor may have cost him millions or at a minimum his free college education at LSU. And yes if you don't have kids you have no idea what the frick you are talking about. Kids change everything.
