BATON ROUGE – LSU and Tulane are ending their football series after this season even though the current deal was supposed to extend another six years. Bill Haber / Associated Press LSU wide receiver Trindon Holliday (8) tries to get around Tulane linebacker James McMurchy (53) during a recent game in the series. A news release by LSU, said the decision was mutual. The teams will play this year in Tiger Stadium and one more game in the future, but the date of that game has yet to be determined, according to LSU’s news release. The Tigers were scheduled to open the 2010 season in New Orleans against the Green Wave, however, LSU will now face North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta to start next year.
