I had not reviewed the all time standings since the end of last season. It looks like we have distanced ourselves from Tennessee even more despite them having a better than usual season.

For the conference, LSU is third in win % points, fourth in schedule points, second in nat. champs points and second in big 4 bowl points. If we win it all this season we could seriously push Nebraska for 8th on the all time spot.

Here are just the SEC teams (sorry for the crap formatting, but you can see the rank):

Rank Team Total Points Win. Pct. Points Schedule Points Nat. Champs Points Big 4 Bowl Points
1 Alabama 2597.31 718.17 919.14 610.00 350.00
9 Louisiana St. 2012.90 650.16 912.73 165.00 285.00
10 Tennessee 1889.66 680.32 849.34 130.00 230.00
11 Georgia 1857.24 649.40 937.83 65.00 205.00
12 Florida 1825.97 629.69 856.28 150.00 190.00
13 Auburn (AL) 1790.04 631.64 923.40 115.00 120.00
20 Texas A&M 1626.70 602.27 834.43 65.00 125.00
23 Arkansas 1577.29 588.24 794.06 15.00 180.00
26 Mississippi 1565.73 563.23 807.49 30.00 165.00
35 Missouri 1433.94 549.52 804.42 0.00 80.00
41 Mississippi St. 1370.55 490.81 844.74 0.00 35.00
42 Vanderbilt (TN) 1368.52 495.96 872.56 0.00 0.00
46 Kentucky 1324.95 494.77 790.19 0.00 40.00
61 South Carolina 1212.90 510.91 701.99 0.00 0.00

Thanks to Les and NS...because before 2000 we were behind UT,UGA and maybe UF...stats can be read lots of different ways, but this is solid and to be 2nd best all time in the SEC is darn good...Im proud of it

Nope. We were #10 behind only UT. We simply moved up one spot

Yes, LSU made a big move since 2000. Would love to see LSU jump Nebraska

From #10 to #9 is a big move?

I can't believe that South Carolina is the lowest. I was thinking Vanderbilt, but they have more tradition it seems.

I think this is probably correct. We will likely have to win another national championship and go to another two big four bowl games in order to move past Nebraska.

All 8 of the teams ahead of us just have so much championship history on their side. We have lots of winning and big bowl game history, but lack in terms of claimed national titles compared to them.
