Pete couldn't get into NCSU, thus Press leaving to go somewhere he could coach his son

Always thought Press could have done real well in Raleigh if he had stayed

Press was an excellent coach. He was unable to recruit black players due to segregation issues. He did sign Collis Temple the year before he was fired and Dale then had free reign to recruit as he wanted.

You got a reference for that claim, otherwise sounds like sour grapes.

BTW, I'm from Carolina and know what it takes to get into the Carolina schools.

He needed an 800 on the SAT. It was an ACC rule that doesn't exist anymore. It's fairly well documented and in many published items. The SEC didn't have that rule.
