Does anyone remember the short, old gentleman that routinely played pickup basketball in the REC? He couldn't really move, but he'd camp in the corner and drain 3's if you ignored him. Then, he'd trot back down the court licking his fingers like Brees. I was there 04-08, but I'm sure he was playing well before me.

I started playing basketball again and thought of him after my knees were sore as hell. I dont know how he did it. Does anyone know who he is or was? I doubt he's still alive.

Used to see him out there, yeah. Never had the makings of a court 2 balla so ended up getting to run with him a lot on the side courts.

Fun memories, used to spend hours playing pickup over there.

Was there in the mid-90s, sure for years before. Back in the day when you got kicked out for dunking, even if you didn't hang on the rim.

He would show up early and get the 4 best dudes in the gym to run with him. He won a ton of games

He absolutely shot 100% from his spot…but you were a dickhead if you blocked his shot. So whoever was on him had to actually make sure they denied him the ball.

Yes his name was old man Henry, but we called him Turtle.

Played ball at the Rec 6 days a week in the early 2000's.
