And still is. How about the DL talent on that team? Williams, Wroten, Pittman, Dorsey and Jackson to name a few. Durn hurricanes screwed that season up. Could have well won the SEC and possibly more without the modified schedule., IMO.

Sadly even if we had one every game we probably would have gotten shut out of the title game like Auburn the year before.

Noticed a lot of 2 TE, 1 WR formations in that 4th qtr.

There was a ton of respect showed in that game too, a lot of opposing players helping each other up after the plays.

It would have been interesting. You knew that USC wasn't getting left out. The networks obviously would have been hard pressed to pass on USC - Texas, with the tradition of both teams and Vince Young for Texas. Then again, there would have been folks wanting to "settle the score" since USC and LSU didn't play 2 years before.
