Is every bit as good as Baylor.
Big 12 teams are all about offense. Baylor has no defense. They might hang 50 on you, but give up 60. But LSU would be in trouble against them because LSU is a team that cannot come back. And Baylor would be up on them 35 - 10 fast.

On a neutral field I would favor them over LSU because they are the better team at this point.

Good post. It would be interesting to see what the line would be if LSU played Utah, but I agree, Utah appears to be legit this year..

Still, it's hard to imagine how they could have played better in those games

Can't disagree there; they've taken care of business. I just feel like the numbers they've put up on offense get overvalued. Once things go wrong for them, they seem to implode. The TCU game last year was the only time I recall them responding well to any adversity.

If they hung 50 on you, it would be 2 TDs BELOW their season average. People are sleeping on them because of a weak schedule, but this team is elite.

They do this every season in the Big 12. Until they beat a real good team outside the Big 12 decisively with the D being solid I'm not sold on them. If they played TCU right now the score might be 80 - 70.

We haven't been behind this year, so how do we know? And assuming we'd be able to run and move the chains, their offensive possessions would be minimized. They can't score if we take care of the football and keep their offense on the sidelines.

I said if they are behind! And they would be behind Baylor if they played right now the way Baylor passes the ball. LSU defense isn't ready for a team like Baylor right now. But you are right about LSU is a team built for time possession, but that isn't any good when you are behind by a lot.

I'm not saying our D wouldn't have problems with their offense, but I just don't see how they go up 35-10 fast if we're controlling the ball and clock, which isn't impossible, given their defense.

Well, that's a big IF. Football is a game that causes turnovers frequently. but you are missing my point. That comment I made was based on LSU being behind period. If they are behind they are not a team that can come back fast. Not this offense anyways. Cameron needs to come up with some damn imagination besides running Leonard Fourneettes arse off.

I know it's a big if, but I'm considering our sample size is only 1 turnover so far this season.

I get what you're saying. If we went down a few scores to them, we're likely screwed. I just don't think our offensive philosophy allows Baylor enough possessions to build an insurmountable lead, at least not early.

And while our defense is far from great, it's likely better than any Seth Russell will see in the Big XII this season. Their offense is awesome, but not unstoppable.

Okay. I'll grant you your point. But keep in mind LSU han't really played anybody so for up to this point. A average to bad MSU team. Nothing like last seasons team. A bad Auburn team. And two mid major schools with inferior talent that they struggled against in Syracuse and Eastern Mich. What do you think will happen when they play the better schools??

Did you see the stat that we're the only team with 3 wins over P5 teams with a winning record? Look, we obviously haven't faced a gauntlet, but the point is no one else has either. Yet we've already seen Ohio State, Michigan State and TCU scrape by lesser opponents more than once.

LSU obviously has a lot of stuff to clean up, but so does everyone else. I don't know what will happen when we play better teams, but there's not one on the schedule I don't think we can beat.

They should be unbeaten up to November then shite gets real. If they still playin like pretenders up until then. Then I don't need to tell you what will happen! And sure everyone has cleaning up to do because it's still early, but these other schools have competent offenses. LSU doesn't. It's just Fournette full steam ahead!
