Doyle sure can crush a ball, still proud of the way she fought. Just unlucky

Lot of chances tonight. So many left in scoring position. We really have to find some clutch hitters. Jaquish has to be frustrated as hell.

I feel for Jaquish, what a boring (in the sense that she can't even attempt to hit) and just frustrating season it is for her. She essentially isn't even on the team, she gets walked pretty much EVERY time.

I am still somewhat concerned with the offense as a whole, we have some solid hitters but we have holes all through the lineup and it hinders the production at times.

Not a great situation with three slappers in a row coming up.

We need to recruit some power hitters.

Slapper are clearly not our problem. They are about the only group that are consistently on base. The rest of the order has to do their job and drive them in and they are not getting it done.

Pitching was again good enough to win but our D was awful. 4 charged errors and at least 2 more that were scored as hits that were not good defensive plays.

If we catch a break, we could have swept but at the same time we could have lost 2 of 3. 3 tough games.

If they walk Jaquish in game one, not sure we even win. As soon as she belted that one out the park they made it clear that they would not have anything to do with her again.

I mean if I am facing LSU I am walking Jaquish everytime unless the bases are loaded. I am really impressed with how much Doyle and Andrews are just crushing the ball. Doyle really has been extremely unlucky. She easily could have a few doubles or a couple more homers if things fell her way.

I am extremely concerned with Serrett and Sanchez, both defensively and offensively. Serrett is great defensively but she has been sloppy at times lately. Sancehz makes a lot of nice plays but she really is a liability on defense and at the plate. She makes some really nice defensive stops on the infield but her throws are just really erratic. More than half the time Doyle or Quinn are literally tip toeing the bag trying to hold on to make the catch.

Mizzou doesn't have a very good pitching staff, they aren't bad but I was expecting to hit them better. Mizzou strength is at the plate, I thought we did a good job pitching them all weekend but still be got a lot of work to be done at the plate. Defensively we were really sloppy just in a lot of phases.

We really need to sweep South Carolina next weekend

You forgot the most glaring current problem, 3B.

It's impossible to replace Landry and Jaquish as we have seen with the really good players we lost last year.

Only one outfielder is graduating this season.

Here is my prediction.

Antoine is going to have to come in and play RF immediately. She is having a really good senior season she has improved a bunch at the plate.

3B is interesting, I love Sanchez but we need to be better there, no ifs or buts we NEED to be better. Here is what I think, either Doyle is going to slide over and Springfield will be 1B or Sunseri is going to get some looks at 1B. Sunseri is technically a pitcher but she has played all over the infield and her bat is the most polished of everyone within this recruiting class. Springfield in opinion will start unless Dobson doesn't bother fixing her swing, if he doesn't we are back at square one.

The position I am really concerned with will be catcher. Its pretty damn concerning that Cunningham did not even get much looks at all this season, its pretty weird considering she was a top 30 player coming out of HS I figured she would get more looks and help out Jaquish. Cristiona Caccamise is really good defensively but if there is a gap in her game its she lacks power. She exploded onto the scene a few years ago, she was extremely dominant in the travel ball scene but she has somewhat dropped off the last two years.

Through 15 SEC games, Jaquish has 7 hits.
