Kansas State has a better record than Rice and K. State played in a much tougher Conference and made it to the Championship game of their Conference Tourney only to lose to UT-Austin.

Some #2 regional seeds have better records than Rice, and i feel maybe that they should have been able to host a regional, but they were shafted by a larger school that didn't even win as many games as the # 2 seeds did, and to me that is B.S.

So, Why Rice? There record isn't as impressive as some of the #2 seeds out there and they weren't even C-USA's regular season champs, is it because they won their Conference Tourney only? Some #2 seeds with better records than Rice, also won their Conference Tourney, but were not chosen to host!
