Whoever scheduled this as a road game in Houston needs to be fired.

Why would you say that. Big time exposure in the area. Big for recruiting. Kids will see the LSU brand in person . They also should see LSU destroy a local team.

There is a hotel that actually shares a parking lot, or is immediately behind the stadium. For the Wisconsin game, due to a little rain, the bar got so crowded that they ran out of beer twice. Best of all, they lost our tab. 4 of us drinking for +/-6 hours. Tipped the bartender $100, and ran like the wind.

The West University/Rice Village area is near downtown so you have plenty options.

ZaZa is a good suggestion

Stay at the crowne plaza - literally directly across the street. Maybe a 5 minute walk

Sure but why not arrange to play a decent brand in Houston so the LSU fans are willing to pay the cost to travel?

I mean dude it’s Rice shouldn’t be playing a neutral site game against Rice u kidding me

I’m not overpaying for tickets and have to overpay for hotel which most likely will be min 2 night stay to watch LSU hang 50 on rice

Easy now, you might catch the Ebola virus in that bitch. I hear it will be deadly again in September.

Can’t imagine LSU/Rice is moving the needle for big time recruits

Agreed. Sick of the recruiting argument as an excuse to take road trips to Houston to play games that should be being played in Baton Rouge. No recruit cares if they see LSU play at a neutral site, they want to experience Death Valley.

Your bedroom. If this game is even played, it will be behind closed doors.
