We seem to have gotten off topic here.

I think it would be in our favor to heavily rely on our running back committee for this game.
We would play the hot hand all game, keep the guys fresh from injury, and control the clock.
Ideally, id love to see us mimick what we did last year against Texas Tech.

That was a fluke game, I wouldn't put too much into that Fl St. annihilation...
But we have to get the running game going, no doubt!

Etling had better be able to loosen the Lousiville D with the passing game.

How is this getting so many down votes? It's fact. Anyone who doesn't feel this will be a huge test is kidding themselves. Is their defense "SEC caliber"? We will certainly find out. I do know one thing, our offense better be able to score points somehow. As good as our defense is, Louisville and the soon to be heisman winner WILL put some points on the board.

It's going to be a high-scoring game. I think Guice (and Fournette, if he plays) are capable of enough big plays, that even if we get behind, we won't abandon the run.

The team I compare Louisville to the most is Ole Miss; not record, not actual play-calling, but potential.
Remember, Ole Miss was well on their way to the same score against Fla St, then ran out of gas.

Ole Miss hung with us a half, then ran out of gas.

I think it's going to be like our first half against Ole Miss, but all game long. Or, comparably, the second half against A&M. We will gash them on the ground, they will move through the air and make big plays.

IF and this is a big IF, we are taking this game seriously. If we play like we did vs UF we will get housed. Hope we play like we did at aTm because I'm going to the game.

This is exactly what it will all boil down to. If DE can do his thing with decent OL protection then Lou will go down.

LSU is still seen as a running team and Lou will stack the box against the best RB tandem since Arky had McFadden and co. The difference maker is LSU's passing game featuring future NFL WRs and TEs.

Also, I doubt that they have the rotational depth to stop our RBs in the second half. As long as our D lives up to their talent, the Tigers should not be playing catch up and we should be able to bully them on the ground well enough to walk away with an impressive display of SEC will imposition.

This is a hard game to gauge because I haven't seen Louisville play much except for there loss to Kentucky and the Fla. St. blowout. I think we will win by 10 or so . LSU is as good as anyone when it comes to containing a dual threat QB. LSU is at its best on defense when the opposing teams try to run east and west which is exactly where Lamar Jackson does his damage . The only teams that gave us problems running the ball was bama, Flordia, and Wisconsin and they knew to run it right at the center . I don't think Louisville will be able to control the line of scrimmage like these teams I just said. Lamar Jackson is gonna make some plays , I'm expecting a few fluke touchdowns but I believe we will dominate in the 2nd half once there worn down. Guice will have close to 150 yards and a couple touchdowns. I'm expecting a big game from Dee Anderson on offense and big game from Jamal Adams and Devin white on defense . Jackson is gonna turn the ball over trying to do too much .

Want to give Louisville full respect and as much credit as possible.

But, honestly, I've watched them in a few games -including the FSU blow out- and they remind me more of a flashy mid-major than even a high-flying Pac 12. Certainly not an SEC-type team.

We shall see...

I only watched the Louisville / Houston game.. and Houston brought pressure at almost every play....
keeping Louisville from completing passes .... THAT won the game IMHO

Other than one team, nobody is that good in the SEC this year. Some of you are living in the past. I think LSU is probably the 2nd best team, but what good team has LSU beaten...Aggies? What good team have the Aggies beaten...Auburn? UT? Please. Is LSU superior because the losses were close? I hope so.
