That game against Meteor AC in 1911 was insane.

My ears are still ringing.

Slight hijack.

How come we didn't win the NC in our undefeated 1896 season. I'm still pissed.

ETA: Frank Edwards was a beast.

UF '97 not as loud as legend would have it. It was incredibly windy that night, which carried a lot of the noise out of the stadium. It was one of those nights when the PA on the south upper deck would would blast you one second and be faintly audible the next. It got loud at moments, like on the Cedrick Donaldson score and the game-clinching INT, but as far as being a loud "game," the excitement of the victory has inflated the myth of crowd noise that night.

Florida 2007 is the loudest I've ever heard Tiger Stadium.

the south upper deck use to be mostly high school students and they (we) were loud. I think the 2012 Alabama game sounded like "the olden days". Here is the loudest day game ever (Ohio St)

The 1979(?) game against USC was very loud.

Fun game except for the final score. The best part was watching Hokie get tackled by his jock.

I was in the student section for '79 USC, and am certain 1) we stood & yelled the entire game, & 2) my hearing has never been the same.

Nothing rivals TS @ night, that being said, 2003 UGA was my loudest experience. Alot depends on where your seats are. We were 45 yd line right behind the tiger bench. My best friend (UGA grad) looked at me right after Devery Henderson's kickoff return & yelled something. Then he yelled in my ear. I learned after the game that he was saying it was the loudest game he had eer been to.

2003 UGA and the NFC championship were the 2 loudest games I've been to.

2003 was louder than the dome though.

Use the search function. This stupid thread pops up every 2-3 months for the past few years. Florida 07 will be hard to top for any game LSU has played in. If your ears didn't hurt then it wasnt loud enough

I know a lot of the younger kids get pissed off/jealous when they hear older LSU fans talk about how loud the stadium used to get, but there's no bullshite about that UGA game. I remember walking out the stadium that day and my ears actually hurt from the volume. Everything sounded muffled for a few hours - like when you go to a loud concert standing on the floor in front of the speakers.

The pandemonium that occurred when Green came down with that pass in the North Endzone...

I remember people jumping and falling over on other people, hugging, high fiving, going apeshit. I wish I could have that experience all over again.

97 UF game vs. Number one Florida you could see the band moving but couldn't hear them play. It was surreal. We knew the band was playing but no way we heard it.

At the time the auburn game supposidly had the highest rating,on the scale, but they didnt always do that. We just did this same thing earlier this year for the, carolina game and it seemed like most people agreed that the 79 usc game wth charles white was the loudest game ever.

Still gives me chills thinking about it.

That's right up there w throwing sugar cubes into the field in 2001 after being the dogs and beating tenn with our BACKUP QB. lsu has given me some special memories.

And yes, 07 Florida was eccentric but 03 UGA was so loud it hurt. You know how after a big game you can't speak? After this game you couldn't hear the same towards the end my section of the student section sounded likes bunch of walruses screaming. Didn't stop us.
