Had a great first half for OSU. I miss that dude

So you're watching highlights of a former player on espn instead of watching our actual team play. Nice

I was. Thought game was on Espn and OSU was ending. I was wrong

DEAD wrong, pal.

It clearly says SECN in the thread that was stickied all day.

He was fun to watch at LSU. Good for Hickey, Jr.

his free throw percentage still sucks

He's still 5'6" isn't he?
Glad we aren't starting two players at 5'6" anymore.

Hickey is averaging 7 points and 3.5 assists. Man miss he Hell out of that guy

Did Hickey go mostly because of he knew what was coming on board at LSU and his playing time would disappear or was if to follow Butch Pierre?

Hickey was cut. It was clear from the outside that Hickey never bought into CJJ. He was suspended multiple times. CJJ knew he had Josh Gray coming in. Smart move by Jones.

Hickey didn't turn the ball over and despite his size he was a defensive asset. We turn the ball over at a disturbing pace and don't have guards that can apply ball pressure in the backcourt. Yes, this team misses his ability to run the offense without turning it over.

No we don't. He didn't turn it over because he didn't take chances.
I'll say it for the hundredth time...he was NOT good at defense. He got some weak side steals, but in ball he killed us. He's so small he got owned by other guards.

So defensive liabilities lead the conference in steals? I haven't looked at the stats, but imagine our number of steals per game are down this year.
Our guards turn it over because they are casual with the ball, not because they are taking chances. We also miss him against full and 3/4 court pressure. He had the ability to take the ball, clear it out and beat pressure, we don't have that luxury and it has showed against pressure teams.
Edit: he had a high % of on ball steals, he did get some in the zone pressure, but more than half of his steals were on ball steals.

Please show me the stats of on ball steal %. Also, the guy averaged 8 points and 3 assists a game. Why have we made him into a legend? It's a fricken joke. Gray has the capability to break presses as well. He turns it over when he goes into the lane because he dribbled too far.
If Hickey was so good, why did we get killed by guards last year? Serious question. Post players didn't destroy us, it was guard play.

Correct. His scholarship was not renewed, which in college is being cut. Glad he's getting a chance to finish his college career with a solid team.

Yea, I'm just glad Hickey has landed in solid place for his senior year. He's still a Tiger in my heart and I want to see him do well.

Not true. He was kicked off the team, but could have remained at LSU under scholarship as a student.
