Dee Anderson is a head case.
Tons of talent but gets in his way.

Certainly not. I've heard him mentioned a lot on here. Not enough mentions I would expect about one of our starters, but then, he's not one of our starters.

I'd say this board slept on Sulivan the exact right amount.

A guy I would not be surprised to step up as this season goes along would be McMath.

Coaches talkin him up and saying he could play de. He's had some Td catches in red zone situations n scrimmages. So with the praise and the mention that he could play on dline tells me he's physical tough and obviously a huge target. Gonna give secondary fits. Put him in with a TE like Moreau and/ Moore/petigrew where the SS and lbers have to cover the big TE's and a nickel corner has to try and cover watch out !

I get the feeling they didn't get the best coaching last season from Craig.
What is the current status of Jerry Sullivan? Is he still working with the receivers as a shadow coach or has that stopped?

Do you not think Drake Davis is also a matchup nightmare?

Apparently not. It sucks, but as athletic as he is, apparently he is just not a very good football player at this time.

Actually, he is studying and trying to learn the other two spots as fast as he can but says he can't learn them as fast as Chark, Gage, and Dillon did.

And so, what's another Ex-Option Quarterback going to teach them?

Why do you think Jerry Sullivan brought in?...........

Nah, it's more like we haven't heard anything from him. Honestly I thought he would have been way better suited at DE, this was before we installed the 3-4. Hopefully he'll be a great EZ threat and really use his height to his advantage similar to Kelvin Benjamin.

I read somewhere that he's no longer there. He came in to consult during the spring/summer, but is not with the staff anymore. Not 100% on that though.

I agree. At least Joseph has 20 years of coaching experience. He was the WR/ST coach at Alcorn, coached RBs at La Tech and coached at Grambling. But, he was the coach I was least excited about. He seems more of a recruiting hire to get the NOLA kids. I believe if you can show your ability to coach up players, develop them and put them in the NFL, that is the best recruiting tool.

On a side note, I did not know his younger brother was the Denver Broncos' HC.

Maybe with his coach timing him. We always hear about these super low times and then they go to the combine.

Go watch him at IMG. Playing against the best players and blowing straight by them.

It's starting to look like Davis is a phenomenal athlete, but just not a very good football player. He better make a move this year, because even though Chark is leaving, Davis is gonna get passed by the Texas Tech transfer and Marshall if he comes at the very least. Maybe another true freshman or 2 from the '18 class as well. If he doesn't figure it out soon, it's doubtful he'll ever play here.

I've never commented on DD or many other players as the majority of posters don't know shite about most so it's pointless to argue with the ignorant. But I've known and watched him play ball in practice and games since he was younger (even coached him one year).
Davis' problem has always been lack of accountability, irresponsible, inconsistency in performance, work ethic, and attitude. Known the kid since he was a little tyke.

Don't want to bash him as I love him, he's a good hearted kid, and has always been a great friend to my kin. But he has had immaturity issues (like most kids) and until he fully puts it together it will be the same excitement build up to a good outing or two and then a regression to the norm (which is just like high school and before). His most consistent play came at the academy so I was hoping the discipline/structure from there combined with LSU's would make it stick.
But you can't make him pay attention or run hard or focus all the time. He's got to do it himself. Love ya DD and if you read this you know I'm speaking the truth so get out of your own head and do what you were born to do and that's wreck shop!! GT!!!
