Likely Saban just kicking the tires because he knows Smart might be up for a HC this year.

This way if Smart leaves he has a coach he knows well to replace him.

Despite the public brouhaha, Bo Pelini has been pretty successful at Nebraska. 66 and 26 overall, 3 Big 12 North titles, 1 Big 10 Legends title, and 4 and 3 in bowl games. He's not lighting the world on fire, but for a program that was in the fricking dumps with Bill Callahan before Pelini was promoted, he's done a pretty good job. And Nebraska just isn't what it used to be. It's not exactly easy to recruit talent there.

well that's cool and all, except Bo Pelini was not a Saban DC

From where did you draw this conclusion? That is not what the article says.

We should hire him first

So we should hire coaches just to keep them away from Alabama?

There is Rantard logic for ya.

They liked Muschamp in Austin. Lucky for them it went in a different direction.

he's not a great defensive coordinator. and, i can't imagine he'll have to settle for something like a defensive backs job.

You shouldn't be allowed to talk about football ever again

Him and Miles on the same staff, we may just not ever take an offensive snap.

He heard Daddy say this to Mommy last night at the dinner table during family Supper. You know, after he did his homework, chores and cleaned up his room.

Yep - and all those people blowing smoke about how terrible Sumlin is will be eating their words.
Heck, let's hope they do not have to come up with more excuses for our 1950 style coaching staff in 9 days .......

Just like always....lets find someone who has just had their pride ripped out of their ball sack and stick them on the team....I will say this...A Muschamp vs. Saban sideline arguement is borderline payperview material
