I hope he is wrong as usual, but naturally the one time he’d be right is with something like this. Terrible news if true.

Would not be ideal and would somewhat explain his total lack of PT.

If true I hope the best for the young man.

For Phillip Webb's sake, I hope this is not the case. Whatever, I wish the young man the best in all his endeavors.

One of the most bizarre deals ever. Huge recruit, Top 5 linebacker and just never any news at all for 2 years until now this. Hate it for him. Tragic and sucks all around but perhaps he can find the best in it and make a solid future.

What’s even wilder is his teammate Sampah that came in with him was also a top 6 nationally rated LB and he has also been a ghost. Extremely rare to sign two guys that highly rated at the same position and both not make any impact by beginning of 3rd year nor transfer.

Josh White too though he transferred to Baylor. We’re fortunate to still be somewhat solid at LB despite what was a banner class that seemingly went 0-3.

When has Lonn been wrong as usual? I’ve only seen good information from him.

They weren’t all the same type of linebackers though. Webb is a tweener , that’s what kept him from developing I believe

Yes, Webb was likely an OLB in a 3-4 D.

I thought Webb was from Georgia and Sampah from Virginia?

Can't verify, and Lonn has been wrong before, but I can't imagine someone breaking thos story without being 100% sure.

We also switched out defense and started asking guys to do different stuff than they were recruited for.

You are joking right? He’s been a total confirmed fraud. This would be the first time he got anything hit right ever.

He’s exactly right, many don’t pan out,
The rating system isn’t the gold standard.
