Am obviously glad Tigers held on and won a fantastic ballgame...the one thing that I came away with (and I know I'm not the expert many of the posters on Rant are...have only been watching LSU football for 74 years) is that the Tigers met and beat the best offensive team they will see this year, and YES, I'm including the Crimson Tide ! If they can continue this way, we WILL have a National Championship in Red Stick, USA !!!!

I think Alabama’s offense is better, but the Texas offense is certainly in the top 2 offenses we will face in the regular season.

They made our defense look very pedestrian for sure. Luckily our offense is just as good this year.

You know what made their Offense look good? Piss poor tackling by our Defensive players. It was atrocious. Fundamental tackling was nmot existant last night.
Meanwhile, CEH went down after every initial contact.

They tried too hard in a big game to make a big play. Their arm tackling was often due to them trying to strip the ball, which they almost did several times. They’ll be fine as long as they know when to situationally do this.

Statistically, it's still Alabama for now. Of course they haven't played anyone yet.

Yep. Turnovers are better than stops and it’s not even close. Turnovers crush opponents confidence. The year the saints won the Super Bowl their defense was all about creating turnovers. Well, that and headhunting.

5.8 YPC, Dang they were not touching for a way down the field. Carried 15 times for 87 yards with only 1 carry was not positive yards. 7 of 15 were for 5 or more (5, 6, 8, 2 for 9, 12-TD, & 24).

Why do you guys feel the need to shite on a player who is doing well?
