LOL @ the 104.5 guys

This has been stated repeatedly in other threads, but the videos, pictures, and transparency from O today in the press conferences was more than enough to keep me informed and fed my appetite for LSU football. Even more so than if the media was let in for 15 minutes to watch the guys stretch.
After seeing the info we were given today and after hearing some of the melts from media (primarily 104.5 guys) I can conclude this was all about article clicks, talking points, and being able to control a narrative, whatever that may be as camp progresses.
In the end LOL at the media melters and great call by O and Michaell Bonnette

You do realize the pictures and video aren't new, correct?

After today, this is extremely hilarious to put these two things in the same sentence.

Football is simply entertainment,...just like going to the movies. If you are interested in what happens behind the scenes,..then Ok..I guess. That's kind of like caring about an actor's marraige. Personally I only care about the games and stats.

O promised the media access to the team when he was hired.

Agree with OP. We got more substantial practice video than the past years WITHOUT the media getting access for 15 minutes, which in past years all they did was CRY that nothing substantial could come from what they were allowed to watch......
Now they cry cause they can't watch this usesless portion of practice..,..
Meanwhile LSU puts out videos of all position groups giving US, the FAN, a deeper look into practice than ever before.
Then after that O gives an interview an divulges who didn't practice and why they didn't practice....... Completely ruling out useless speculation by various media outlets.
Fricken Genius! "Bold for the spelling police, friggin iPad". Guaranteed other programs will follow suit next fall.

Did he promise unlimited access?
You are stretching your Orgeron resentment a bit far here.
Get over it.

Pretty sure we got that in the form of video today and an O press conference where he was very detailed in his comments/replies to questions..
Not sure what more you want or need. Like another poster mentioned football is all about your record and stats. Let the players practice, we as fans can get reports and then we can really start to analyze, praise and complain when things matter, but To each their own

The way the sports media is talking you would think they had access to while practices. They act like the 15 minutes they would get to see was the most important 15 minutes of the day.
Bottom line is this makes their job harder, which is why they are bitching so much.

And he said that the media wouldn't be kept out of practices for the entirety of fall camp when he announced they would be closed. And if letting the media in while Canada is polishing off his installation of the new offense gives our opponents even a chance at the slightest of edges, then keep 'em out.
I can see how they might be miffed that they are missing out on the chance for a lot of content for their shows and websites, but the level of hysteria they are displaying is cringe-worthy, and more than a bit childish.

I have heard 4 different media outlets use the term "free and open media". I thought we were talking about college football not covering congress. This has been blown so far out of proportion.
