that Miles didn't give Lee a shot! When the other team can see it, why can't Miles? Looked to me like he did all he could to lose instead of all he could to win!!

Why would Bama fans be pissed that Miles picked a game plan that handed them victory?!?

Had a Bama guy be me and he couldn't believe it. Asked what in the hell did Lee do? Said hell if I know

Why would a bama fan be upset about LSU's qb not playing? Seems like they would want the guy who isn't performing to stay in the game.

Miles really didn't like Lee's 1 TD and 7 Int against Bama in his career I guess.

I personally thought he should have been inserted to change things up, but I don't necessarily think it would have made a difference.

I heard it from the Bama fans, the Moo State fans, AU fans and K-state fans I work with. They were all baffled.

Well, when exactly did Miles think Jefferson was going to lead LSU to a touchdown? They could still be playing and it wouldn't have happened.

I don't think Miles covered that in his game planning over the last month.

I have actually talked to several that seem a little down. Like we made it too easy for them. Or maybe its sympathy. I dunno. They're just as baffled as we are.

I wouldn't say pissed. But it was such a huge letdown. Almost like it was too easy. It was a horrible game and they didn't even really have to put forth effort to get the victory.

They probably wanted to beat us at our best and we were doing everything we could to win.

They knew we weren't even trying and I'm guessing it mkes them feel a little cheap. Like taking candy from a baby.

They probably deflated bc they know bama didnt deserve to be there and it was clear lsu was not enthused about playing them. They took out their revenge on a disinterestednopponent.

I got the same reaction from people of all fans bases. I work with some folks who don't watch a lot of college football but watched the game because of me. They asked, "What the hell was that"? Even they could see something was wrong. People who'd never heard the name Jarrett Lee before sympathized with him for what they viewed as a huge slap in the face.

I got asked why he didn't go in, why the players kept running the same plays, why the coaches made no adjustments, etc. Even if we still lost, it was worth a try. I had no answer - none.

My 68 year old mother (who doesn't watch sports but watched the game while babysitting the kids) asked my 11 year old son, "why doesn't the coach put in the back-up quarterback? He can't be any worse, can he?"

I am going to repost this. I really think this JJ thing will go down with some of the monumental blunders of Les Miles stint here. Not making a QB change against Alabama ranks right up there with the Co-Defensive Coordinator thing and the clock management issues. I like the direction Les has taken the LSU football program overall - but this fiasco Monday is a costly mismanagement blunder on his part.

My grandmother, who knows NOTHING about football, she just watches the players run and throw the ball and complains when a tackle is to hard said "That was a weird game. That didn't look like LSU at all."

I had a Bama guy express nothing but confusion to me. He was thrilled they won the National Championship, but he couldn't help but be as confused, and somewhat let down as me.

That was not LSU vs Alabama football. I don't care how you slice it, it was NOT.

I still can't seem to understand...what happened.

I fielded this question a number of times by my co-workers. I work in NJ and these guys were just as confused as Tiger Nation. I even had clients emailing me the same question.

I figure they would be happy they wormed their way into the BCS game and won it in the way they did. Why would they be pissed for us? It helped them they were probably praying for JJ to stay in the entire game.

They may feel a bit guilty about beating a Tiger team that appeared to be not at their best-but I bet their glad to see Saban lift the crystal!!!
