One has to wonder if it’s a self-fulfilling thing on his part. Gives him an excuse to be lazy and still collect a check.

It's hard to know exactly what was said to Hampton. If he entered the portal because Paul told him that it would difficult for him to unseat Crews, Dugas and Gio in the outfield, I could live with that. If Hampton left because Paul told him he was behind, Sanford, Safford, Drost and Bianco in the outfield, than that is one more reason to let go of Paul.

Paul didn't factor in an injured Gio. But that's where u get & keep the next man up in the rotation so you don't have these issues.

I'm ok with giving Drost some time, but Safford over Sanford makes no sense, Cranford over Arnold makes no sense, Travinski can't hit SEC pitching or catch strikes...I am really wondering if Maineri is even trying to win at this point.
The lineup tells me that he doesn't care as much about winning as I do, as most of us do. God tbats depressing!
