This conversation is at least one year premature.

I dont think so any more...Most of the 5 star guys are getting into a 3 year mode of leaving early and the window to have a "complete" team is getting smaller for most teams.

JJ was the better option. Our oline was getting destroyed and JJ was running for his life and you want to put in a less mobile qb with a career 1 td -8 int against Bama?

Is anyone else not impressed with Rivers at all? IMO, we have to find a replacement for Mett ASAP because if Liggins isn't the answer than it could get ugly at QB (like the last 4 years )

He already is an SEC caliber QB. He signed with LSU.

The bar isn't that high to pay QB in this league.

I'm actually impressed with Rivers progress since he has signed. This is what excites me about Liggins. I think under Krags he will blossom into a great dual threat for us. Not an option QB but more of a scrambler or draw play bruiser.

I am very optimistic about Rivers if Mett sticks around for another year after this year. I don't think he'll quite be there next year. Still needs some time to grow into that frame and gain some arm strength.

I believe all the LSU QB's will benefit from Coach Krags & it would not be surprising to see Rivers make important contributions in a few years. Hope he isn't pressed into duty before he is really ready.

But back to Liggins--I had been wondering about this and maybe it belongs on the recruiting board. Is he the first ever Tiger recruit/signee from Oxford, Miss.--the hometown of Ole Miss? Obviously, I mean not counting walk-ons and transfers.

The coaches will get him in the program and move him to DT. That is his best path to the NFL

He's a RS-Fr. Newsflash: most RS-Fr improve. And we've seen him play in all of 1 spring game.

Yep, not sure where people are getting their info from, but until I see him, Liggins or Randall in action I am not going to assume anything, good or bad.
