As Albert Einstein once said, "Letting the same AD make a third hire for the same position is the definition of insanity."

Meh, we're stuck with Alleva as long as he can raise money and keeps us scandal free. The big definition of insanity is letting this search be similar to the football search.

Holy shite. This has nothing to do with Alleva. As someone who use to work in the athletic dept, it is sickening he is getting the credit for something he has no part in.

What you worried about? Collis Temple is on the search committee.

Alleva has only hired one basketball coach. He has fired two coachs but has only hired one.

What basketball coach that is a successful program builder would want to work for Alleva and the rest of the LSU admin??

When Alleva was at Duke, he worked for Coach K...not the other way around. And LSU isn't gonna pay enough to get the kind of coach that will make Alleva irrelevant.

As long as the current admin is around, I'll be worried about the future of LSU athletics overall.

Hmmm. Alleva had already been announced as the man in line for the new AD when Johnson was hired. He hired him

quote:

The search is over. LSU announced Stanford's Trent Johnson as its new men's basketball coach Thursday afternoon, ending a two-and-a-half month search and 24 hours of heated speculation linking Johnson to the vacancy left by John Brady's firing. Joe Alleva, Athletic Director Skip Bertman's successor, made the announcement at a 4 p.m. press conference after what Johnson called a "whirlwind last week."
