It needs to be played there.

This is a time for everyone in SC to rally and come together as community.

Not to anyone with a brain. You think all these issues are going to magically go away in 4 days? Look they may keep the game there, but that will never make it the right call.

so, you're particularly close to the situation? Getting updates during the City of Columbia meetings?

Play this game somewhere on Saturday or move it November.
We don't need to play this game the week before Alabama.

Im just saying, I would rather not fly to Columbia Thursday morning to sit in my hotel in a flood zone with no football to watch, when one of the victims could be using the hotel room.

But some people (thousands) have travel plans to either cancel or rebook.

How about putting this situation into a human perspective instead of worrying about your trivial travel plans?

I feel like in all of this we've lost sight of who the real enemy is and who is really to blame...

A dam just failed in Richland county. That can't be good for emergency responders.

You don't have to be an insider to know that having the game there is a bad idea. Some of the worst road damages are in the campus's county. They don't have drinking water for residents, let alone travelling fans both from LSU and in their local area.

Read the thread. Everyone agrees that efforts should be focused on fixing the city and not accommodating thousands more people for a football game. With the dam breaks, lack of water, major road/bridge outages, and overall state of the city, the game should be moved elsewhere.

It really is that simple.

Tell that to the people that think having this game is Columbia is a good idea.

The state Department of Transportation said nearly 500 roads and bridges were still closed Tuesday morning. Many of those were in the Columbia area, which registered record rainfall this week.

Thank you. Some people really just jump in and think we are worried about ourselves. We are worried about the community and agree a football game shouldn't be the focus.
