I think the defense has been one of, if not the worst I've ever seen at LSU. Last night was lights out though. The DBs were pressing and the Dline was disruptive. Besides a shift to more press-man coverage, what the hell happened?

Can Steele reproduce that or do we need to just let him go?

I really miss the days when the dt's would push the line of scrimmage and simply dominate.

We played the worst offense in the SEC West. They have been awful since they played Bama. Sounds pretty familiar

Well A&M's offense sucks

But also we went man and seemed to get our assignments right for the first time this season.

Also Key dominated that game.

Steele finally made the necessary adjustments and there were no coverage busts. It took a long time to adjust to the new schemes.

The front 7 wasn't outmatched. That's the difference...and Kyle Allen is barely average.

Miles is systematically destroying the team, it's pretty simple, he is the LSU Killer - Clown

Wow, I hadn't paid attention to them. I just went and checked the scores and you're right. 3 pts against Ole Miss and 10 against Auburn. And with all those receivers. Sumlin's seat should be hotter than a Jeter side-piece.

So I guess that answers the question about keeping Steele.

It's tough. Roll the dice if you want. But learning a new zone scheme is tough and the players seemed better at it last night.

Maybe Steele is making strides with them. If you let him go you're back to square one. Then, chances are you're going to go after someone like Pruitt who also runs a complex zone defensive scheme. It could take the players another 8 games to catch on completely.
