This team is really, really good maybe even great. Is it one of the greatest of all time? I don't think so. If our offense was better, we could jump into that argument.

Has this been one of the greatest seasons by a team of all time? Yes. LSU is definitely in that conversation.

Some of the so called GOAT have been great on one side of the ball. Our record against top opponents has never been done.

this team dismantles their opponents physically not by going to the spread and throwing 40 times

Fair statement, but which team would you say is better?

Which is why I say this may be the greatest season of all time.

The great teams on my list were pretty good in all 3 parts of the game

I agree. The accomplishments of this team are among the best of all time. But it's not as well-rounded as some of the other "best" teams. There's a distinction between the two.

How do you determine what makes a great team???

By the competition they've beaten. How else do you do it??? Stats??? Please...

Which is the way you judge teams in a non-biased way.

BTW, as a coach, would I love to have the chemistry this team has. Absolutely. This team is GREAT at understanding the importance of TEAM.

Exactly. If this LSU team went undefeated against a bunch of humps, our offensive stats would of been much better.

Was talking to a buddy about this last night.

If we had RGIII or someone like him, I believe we would be in that discussion.

But I agree. Best resume ever, if that's any consolation.

This team is 13th in the country in scoring i believe...scoring 40+ pts in 9 games. It's not LSU's fault they have short fields quite often.

I think this team is great in all 3 phases. There has been no reason for our OC to start flinging the ball all over creation.

I think if LSU beats Bama again...they could certainly be considered one of the GOATs.

And we will see how many NFL 1st rounders come from this team...will be a few for sure.

Based on the NFL success of the players off the 01 Miami team, you have to put them over LSU. Only time will tell as we look back in a few years to see how great this LSU MAY be. They havent won the Title yet. 01 Miami was incredible in every phase of the game. Clinton Portis backed up by Gore and McGahee with Andre Johnson and Shockey catching passes. Wow!

This distinction is more subjective.
