Let's be honest. How many of you used to dislike Ed Orgeron.

I know I did. I always perceived him to be anti LSU. I guess a lot of it was media driven. I thought he was a buffoon when he was the head coach of Ole Miss(although I always was amazed at how well he recruited). I know he has had success as a position coach and a top notch recruiter at USC and Miami. He even had success in his second stint at USC as their interim head coach. I'm sure he felt really snubbed when they chose Sarkisian as their head coach. In his year out of football he was a regular guest on the local morning sports show on 104.5. I really started to like his infectious personality. I was actually worried when I thought he might take another job in the SEC and he would be recruiting against us again. When all the Chavis/Brick drama went down I was ecstatic that we got coach Eaux. This guy is pure energy and I believe he will be coaching with a bit of a chip on his shoulder because he got snubbed for the USC job. I also think he is happy to be back in his home state with his family and will do everything he can to bring us a championship. I sure hope we can hold on to him for a while!

Well, duh - when he was coaching at Ole Miss I couldn't stand him. I thought the " rip my shirt off in front of the team" was juvenile. But if he can get our DL to play up to the competition and add some much needed fire to our program I'm behind him.

Many here would have always welcomed O as an assistant. Not as a head coach like he wanted to be. Everyone was calling him dirty though. I'm sure he's just like every other coach. Love them when they are yours, but tear them down otherwise.

I never disliked him. Thought he was easy to make fun of at Ole Miss, but always knew he was an ace recruiter. I've always said I'd pay him a million just to do that. Very pumped he's here.

He would've been a risk to have before his second stint at USC. He's reevaluated his coaching and became better at what he does. We got him at the perfect time and it's amazing how it all worked out, really.

I wasn't really a fan, but after listening to him on 104.5 and watching practice film, I'm damn glad he's here

My disdain for other coaches is strictly a function of their being an adversary. If they subsequently join our staff, that's good enough for me. Conversely, if a guy joins another program, he's persona non grata as far as I'm concerned.

Beyond that, I have no personal feeling toward them one way or another.

This...

I thought he an CLM had a riff and would never come here as a d-line coach. I am glad he is here, he is not just some blow hard, he is the real deal and has the guys in the NFL to prove it!

Sure I did when he coached at Ole Miss. Also, when he coached at USC in 2003 and said USC would have beaten LSU that year. What LSU fan liked Coach O during these years?

Glad he is a Tiger now.

Ed wasn't always portrayed on here as very smart or at times remotely honest or even sober. I think most thought he could recruit despite the aforementioned problems.

Ed is an excitable guy and has an infectious personality. I'm glad he is on staff.

As to the dislike question, I actually like to base that on my personal interaction with people whether face to face or over the phone etc and I like to have a decent sample size to determine this vs hearsay. No, I never disliked O.
