Let me get this straight: We are disappointed because....

I don't understand all the angst. We lose 2 games to top-5 opponents by 12 points. If Mett would have had a little more experience we win the Florida game. If the ball bounces our way, we beat Bama, Yes, their experienced QB brings Bama back to beat us with a little over a minute to play. Hats off to their offense. Next year, with an EXPERIENCED quarterback, I bet we have a similar game-winner by our offense. We didn't make the championship game THIS year, but we will be back. Our recruiting, talent, and coaching is too good to not make championship runs almost every year. The ball will bounce in our favor, and the dominoes will fall our way again. I am proud that our Tigers will play Clemson and we should respect their school, their traditions, and their football team. If you don't show your adversary respect (friendly adversary, that is, this is not war, people) then you may underestimate him and place yourself at a competitive disadvantage. That being said, let's show Clemson who the real Tigers and Death Valley denezins are by totally dominating them on national TV. I expect our players to be up for the game and to play with great want against a quality opponent. See ya!!!

why is this so hard to understand: yes, were disappointed that we lost two games, but we're angry because were not on a level playing field in the sec. if bama played 4 top 10 teams in the regular season and made the NC, good for them. but they didnt. they played two good teams, went 1-1. last time they played a schedule like ours they went 9-3.

You forgot the biggest if. IF Saban hadn't left to eventually become Bama head coach. Life is full of ifs. It's in the middle of life, literally and figuratively. But IF we keep recruiting and playing as we have for the last few years, we WILL be back in the championship game. Believe it or not!!!

Sounds like spin.
LSU fans are pissed because LSU fans have to have something to be pissed about. We're pissed because we have to play in the CFA when we feel like we deserve better.
Guess what. In this system, we don't deserve better. We deserve exactly what we're getting. A nice bowl game on New Year's Eve night against a 10-2 ACC opponent. Not sure what everyone was expecting.

Upon further review, we didn't deserve preseason #1. Mett wasn't all world like some pronounced, the wide receiver position was an issue early. Essentially, our offense was no where near the offense of a team deserving of preseason #1. Our defense still isn't anywhere near what it was last year. Still, we are a 10-2 team.
Wasn't USC preseason #1 anyway? What did that get them?

I like your passion. It shows you are a true Tiger fan. We have come a long way in that we are disappointed in nothing less than a championship. But sometimes you have to give the other team credit. Bama isn't in it's 3rd championship game in 4 years for nothing. They are a good program and will be as long as Saban coaches there. I am saying that and I hate Bama and Saban. We will be back.

This really shouldn't be upsetting to anyone. The bowl system is completely imaginary. It means nothing.
This "prestige" bullshite that everyone is talking about? It's garbage. The "prestigious" Rose Bowl is taking a POS Wisconsin team.
Georgia Tech and Kent State each came one play away from playing in a BCS game.
Can you rattle off all the Jan 1 matchups from last year? Probably not. Because they don't mean anything unless its the BCSCG.

Because in college football as in life you only get so many bites at the apple. When you out play a team like Ala and make foolish coaching calls like tring a 54 yard field goal and not let your qb make 10yards to seal away the game at the end. ALA and LSU both have A class players,facilites and fans. But Ala has class A head coach and we have Class B one.
