However, he would have faltered by the SEC games.

What? It took the biggest comeback in LSU history for Miles to beat Troy last time, and LSU was much better.

Why are people defending Miles just because they don't like Orgeron?

This should not to be perceived as a Pro O comment, but Les never destroyed any rent a win team.

Sam Houston state 56-0

ULM 31-0

Les in his later years here played down to the competition and came close to losing several games. Like the previous game with Troy for instance. He also failed to recruit enough and the right types of lineman his last few years here.

Les rarely destroyed anyone.

Les always caused heart problems all game long and squeeked out the win.

He never "destroyed" anybody. A common complaint about him was that he often made lesser teams seem tougher than they should be. Took his foot off the gas etc. Fine to hate on orgeron but silly to try to rewrite history.

Les Miles could not even cross midfield in the national championship game with the greatest LSU team of all time.

Les 21-0 Miles.

maybe he didn't cross midfield in that game, but he got the team there with an undefeated season. He made that game twice, and the other time they were there, his team won.

Objectively, I will take the coach who has been to multiple national championship games over the coach who has multiple historically embarrassing losses 5 games into his tenure here, and who was the worst coach in Ole Miss history. You may see things differently.

Have you guys seriously already forgotten how Les’ teams played down to the competition year in and year out? Really?

LSU has done this my entire life. Diff is Les won more games than any of the other coaches, so if his team played bad, they still won. Under Saban, dinardo, and now o. If the team played down, they lost.

So unless you are an idiot, you remember us being down 31-3 in the 3rd qtr to Troy several years ago right?
