He has to say that. Prior to any buyout talks the parties sign a confidentiality contract pertaining to any negotiations. He can be liable if he talks about it. Don't be stupid.

This whole thing has turned into a damn shite show. Nobody has any real sources. Everyone needs to just pump the brakes until something is announced.

Yet somehow everyone is trusting "sources" that would be under the same confidentiality agreements.
