People always make these comparisons
They find a coach with a similar record
Usually not as good, but close enough to make a comparison
Then they forget the losing season that got them fired
"whats the difference between Les and Muschamp?"
a losing season
"Whats the difference between Tommy Tuberville and Les Miles?"
a losing season.

You are a weird dude. I'm guessing there is some creepy homemade Les Miles art in your room in your Mom's house.

quote:
Tuberville (9 seasons) = 51-25 (67%), 1 SEC title, 5 west titles/co-titles in 9 years.
Miles (10 seasons) = 58-26 (69%), 2 SEC titles, 3 West titles/co-titles in 10 years.
If we are going to be realistic about everything, then it's only fair to mention a couple other issues in this comparison:
1) The SEC's dominance really started in 2006 with the run of NCs......Tuberville was at AU only for the beginning of the dynastic run the conference had. (ie. the competition might not have been as good)
2) He got to play Bama through their probation years. CLM caught the tail-end.
3) CLM is 3-1 against Tuberville at AU.
While the numbers might be comparable, CLM has had a better winning SEC% through a time when the SEC was at the best it has ever been. When the Sabans and Meyers joined the SEC, Tubs got the boot, while CLM won a NC and took LSU to another NCG.
