Maybe on the off chance JJ threw an INT or 2, Les didn't want the entire fanbase calling for JJ's head and killing any sort of confidence or chance he has, a la JL. He played things safe, got the kid some more experience and is letting him fill the shoes a little more gradually than in the past. You damn rantards want everything both ways but then again, what's new....

robbbobb doesn't think he's intelligent enough to run the offense, just like he doesn't with jefferson.

I don't think anyone in the world expected our running game to struggle so much. We gameplanned to run the ball effectively so that we could minimize JJ's throws due to his lack of experience. That didn't work. Who didn't think, based on what we return, that we would struggle so much to run the football? Miles seems to understand that we need to open it up sooner if the game remains stagnant up front early.

I dont think you're intelligent enough to work a keyboard. Crowton and Miles have to decide what JJ is capable of, and since you dont like what they're doing, it was a nice deflection. Sucked tho, but it showed hard work and effort on your part.

we've seen what he is capable of.

there is a difference from what he is capable of and what les and gary decided to run against washington.

which the most objective person would tell you, was very different from the offense in the bowl game.

well dam does it take 3 quarters of getting scott's head beat in before miles desides well maybe running up the middle with an 8 or 9 man line might not work.

I think I said, pre-game, that there was no question in my mind that LSU could "out athlete", UW, pretty much across the board .. not so much in physical measurables, but in overall athletic ability. After watching the game, UW's secondary was the real weakness. I also think I said, that with the youth we have at QB, now is probably the best time to catch us.

A key turnover in UW's favor - and UW could have won the game. A couple of long passes, instead of the ineffective runs we were trying, and we could have won by 20 going away. All football games hinge on a handful of plays, one way or another.

I'm no stat guru but I didn't think 5.1 yards per rush was a bad average. It was a yard more per rush than Washington had. I know a lot of that was gained on the outside but you have to mix it up some.

And from watching the game it didn't seem to me that we were getting stopped cold at the line of scrimmage often. Seemed like we usually managed a couple of yards on most attempts which I think loosened them up for the longer runs and the passes that were completed.

Not sure you really want to show much of your playbook to your future opponents compliments of being in a non-conference game. Play well enough to win and get out of there. Some of these kids are very young and they are going to need some time.
