“We’re going to continue to evaluate our quarterback situation, and frankly we’re going to expect more
out of the position. I think both those guys can give it to us. I think (Jordan) Jefferson definitely can, and
we’re going to encourage (Jarrett) Lee because he’s a guy who’s going to have to win games for us as we
go forward.”

Tranlsation.....Jordan "el Jefe" Jefferson is my guy.

Might want to pull out the Miles-to-English dictionary out again. I don't think that's what he meant. Now, Jefferson will probably start next week, but that doesn't mean JJ is under any less scrutiny now.

Sounds to me like he's trying to warn Jefferson to shape up or sit down.

Interesting translation. I wouldn't be so sure.

Now you have me confused:

This:
quote:

Jordan "el Jefe" Jefferson is my guy.

Equals this?
quote:

the starting QB position wont be changed this coming week but in the futur it will be

Trying to interpret Miles' word salads is impossible because he just strings tangentially related phrases together that do not follow from one to the other. He's trying to sound evasively profound, but he just sounds like a moron.

That said, my translation is: "Yeah I know the QB play was terrible, but Jefferson will have to play much worse to get pulled."

He can think all he wants but Jefferson is not going to get any better than he is right now. The fact is that he is simply a QB of limited abilities. It would be nice if he had a really good QB coach but everyone knows that situation.

I actually think it means JJ has a short leash heading into the MSU game.

Whatever the flow of the MSU game is, I believe that Lee will get at least a quarter to showcase what he has learned.

EDIT: Maybe a quarter would be a bit much if JJ blows the game open. If that's the case then maybe Lee gets the last two possessions.
