But I'm not going to blame the defense for not holding Bama to under 13. Can't expect to win with 13 pts.

Of course you dont. Twice the offense gave the defense a lead with a minute left. The offense wasn't great but they surely did enough to win.

Bama has been able to get good production from first year QBs who weren't elite NFL talents.

Yeah, 5th year seniors. AJ McCarron was the 1st young and inexperienced qb in 2011 and his year wasnt that great.

Apparently not. 13 pts is not enough. Sure the defense could've held, but it's not even realistic to expect to win games 13-10.

LSUs passing game should be much better this year. If it isn't, then frick everything and I give up lol.

Who gives a shite. He's our coach and he has our program trending in a positive direction right now despite the bullshite at the end of last season. We will see how well thought of he is after this season. We have our season starting in two weeks you bunch of pussies. Who gives a shite what other coaches/people believe about Les. He's LSUs coach, therefore, he's OUR coach. We need to get behind/back Les now more than ever before because he is doing all he can for this program to succeed. He has made a plethora of GREAT decisions/changes this offseason and I BELIEVE it will make a difference ON THE FIELD THIS SEASON. Everyone has an opinion. At the end of the day Les is a great football coach and he has an unquenchable fire lit under his arse at the moment that I believe will translate into LSU winning big this season. LSU is a dangerous football team this year. Who do you think built this monster of a football team? Give the man a break from this criticism...it's getting fricking old. Geaux Tigers.

The offense put up points the last time it had the ball.

For sure. There are no excuses year. Harris is in his 3rd year and has had the same system his entire career at lsu. He is surrounded by a collection of skill position players that are as talented as any in cfb.

This says it all.

We have the talent, but until we have a decent coach, it will me more of the same.

How come when we had Met and 2 NFL studs at WR we didnt line up and throw for 500 on bama.

Why waste snaps running the ball 28 times.

just curious.

I really feel like Harris COULD have a 2005 JR type year. All depends on the playcalling and pass pro. I liked where he was before the injury in November.

So the most successful coach in lsu history isnt even a ,"decent coach" now?

Since the creation of the sec there have 6 coaches that won at a higher level than Miles.

I hate our ignorant and entitled fan base.

Actually LSU almost won that game because they did throw the ball. They still ran their normal power offense but the difference was that Mett completed throws that the QB's the last two years did not. Harris has the potential to do this. In a few weeks we will finally see if he can.

I wonder what met would have been like if they had tried to develop him in 2011 rather than wait til 2012...the bama game was really the first game I can remember the coaches letting met throw it around
