That doesn't change the fact that if he had one more second he'd be preparing for Missouri at this point, does it?

The end of last year was crazy - especially the aTm game. Sunday was crazy. This week has been crazy.

I didn't have to step away to see this - I've been a little stunned which has affected my ability to express this "crazy" - but there is no other good word to describe the last 11 months (or thereabouts) of the Les Miles Saga.

He's gone now guys. His love for LSU is great and the more interviews he does the better it looks for our program in my opinion. The way he speaks of LSU should grab the coaching candidates attention.

Only people that hate us is the media.

2016 is the year Les' luck ran out.

We've seen the Auburn game numerous times. The only difference is that they used to work out for Les. This year they haven't

2007 - The absolute crazy decision to unnecessarily run down the clock vs. Auburn. If Byrd doesn't make an outstanding catch, it's very possible LSU lets the clock expire while in range for a game winning FG

2009 - Comfortable lead against a weak MSU team turns into a desperate goal line stand. If Chad Jones doesn't make an incredible play to deflect a sure TD pass. LSU is getting laughed at for blowing that game.

2010 - LSU loses to Tenn. only to get SAVED by their own ineptness

2010 - LSU is blowing out a depleted UNC team. They do absolutely nothing in the 2nd half and have to get two drops by the UNC TE to avoid blowing a 20 point 4th quarter lead.

2010 - LSU screws up the fake FG, only to get a great bounce that ultimately leads to a win in a game LSU really dominated.

2014 - The Florida TE literally drops what would have been a go ahead TD with under two minutes to play.

2015 - LSU survives against MSU on a missed FG in a game LSU was leading 21-6 in the 4th quarter.

Despite being outplayed/outcoached the entire game. I was shocked LSU didn't pull the Wisc game out. They ALWAYS seemed to pull that kind of game out. Same for Auburn. Slop around, make mistakes, blow opportunities, do just enough on defense to hang around and unexpectedly win it in a wild finish. That is a classic Les Miles game.

Les won a TON of games at LSU. He deserves a ton of credit for that. But he also lived on the edge constantly. Les got more than his fair share of "one more second". It was unnecessarily needing that "one more second" which is why he's out of a job.

$$$ is what will grab their attention, and the chance to get the keys to what should always be a pretty hot sports car, the days of ethics, protocol, and appearance have long gone, they know it's a temporary gig and one that they will receive a lifetime type compensation for just a few years work

Time will heal these wounds and he's going to be an absolute legend here. You can downvote me to death, I don't care. He's going to be fondly remembered and will be completely revered. I know so many of you just long for the day that his picture will be on the jumbotron so you can boo, but the cheers will be deafening. Yes it was time. Yes I'm excited for the future. But to denigrate the guy is a little ridiculous at this point. When people on the SEC Rant say we have shitty fans, people who call themselves "fans" dogging Les Miles certainly don't speak for me. I appreciate what he did here and always will.

If Dural would have been coached to get out of bounds and had done so LSU would have had at least 40 more seconds in order to score. However it worked out for the best in the long run. Hope the staff now will have more attention to detail.

Rinaldi - "How would you define the significance of the final second in the Auburn game in the scope of your career at LSU"

Yet we've got fans who think his answer is delusional? This wasn't a post game presser here. He had already been fired. He's reflecting on his career. Hell, would anyone really argue the fact that no other individual play defines Miles more than the last one against Auburn? What is delusional about that?

People seem to think there can be no middle ground. They act like if you're not still bashing Miles, then you must feel sorry for him instead. It doesn't work that way. You don't need to feel sorry for the man, although I'm sure he misses his job. However, to continuously bash him is quite pathetic.

Damn. I mean damn.

The man literally went delusional in his last few years.

That, or he simply outed himself as utterly incapable of self reflection.
