Leslie has absolutely no idea how to handle a QB situation. First he would have to learn how to recruit that position to know how to talk about it.

Maybe the reason Miller had no interest in playing for a Miles coached team despite having great running backs, experienced O Line, and extremely talented Wide Receivers. The only hole is an experienced proven QB.

How do u know, honestly? Last time I checked, Ohio State will still have 2 very capable QB's going into next year.

Maybe Les is letting other QB's know that he is open to transfers, which is not his normal stance. Its not like he isnt beating the bush all over the place trying to find a QB for his great teams. Kansas, Los Angeles Indiana etc. He certainly can not count on the state's high schools to develop a SEC caliber QB any longer.

As far as Harris is concerned, he is in a great spot. Any 4 star QB would love to be in Harris' situation. Beat out one guy, who doesnt have your talent and its your job.

Les is not one to disparage any student athlete from any school.

Don't you know that by now.

It does no harm. Les has a job to do, field the best prepared, competitive, talented team he can. If the competition for a position is too much for you to bear, you may want to not participate in high level athletics

It's this kind of crap that slays me.
This very mentality of soft handed coddling that leads to a grown arse man that can't handle criticism about how he plays a game.

Oh poor whittle me...I can't throw a football cause my feewings were compromised...
Woe, woe as me...

Jesus.

Edit- by no way do I suggest that this even remotely resembles Harris or any other of our players. It's just the notion of the necessity for the kid glove that's bothersome.

Correct.

Why do people think that big time athletes at big time schools are so emotionally fragile? If Les' comments about Miller would shake Harris, then he needs to go play at a D-II school. Good grief.

If that's all it takes to rattle Harris' confidence then maybe he should be in the bleachers watching the games with the rest of us.

Positiger or negatiger...this is the God's honest truth, and they all know it.

How do You believe Harris' confidence will shake out when Jennings is named the starter?

And, we all know it's coming.

I guess you would pencil me in as a Negatiger according to this board. If you make excuses for the program/coaching staff, you're a Positiger. If you say it like it is then people bash you for ten pages for saying the truth, you're a Negatiger.

Who honestly cares about Les "naming a starter". Both are going to get playing time in the opener and more than likely the Miss State game.

Am I missing something? Is Jennings even on the team right now?

He only said that because he knows we will face Ohio St in the playoff and that we will knock out their starter. He's just thinking ahead. ;-)

He responded to a question. Most coaches would have said the same thing.

Good thing we got the Purdue QB to transfer instead. (Too bad he's not eligible until next season)

Yeah, I thought it was unnecessary too. Maybe he's decided to put pressure on them to perform and see how it works out.
